The Blog!
We are fast approaching comic 200 (which should be July 21st). So I’m thinking the week after, the week of July 26th, I’m going to do a guest week. There’s a couple reasons for this. 1) I’d like to really have a chance to work on the buffer because 2) There’s going to be some upcoming weeks where I’ll be camping for four days at a time for work, so I won’t be able to draw the comics, much less upload them, unless I have them in the buffer. Comic #200 seems like a large enough number to celebrate a week off with guest strips to give me that opportunity to draw some up. So if you’re interested in doing one, send me an e-mail (Carl -at- CrazyCStudios.com).
Per usual, after the guest week, the comics will be removed from the archive to keep it clean and uploaded to the Fanart and Facebook pages.
Whoops, it’s going to be 2 weeks so I can be more effective.
The other week, I had a pretty bad scare financially and related to the comic. And while it was partly my own lack of paying attention, it sped up my decision to push to make the comic self sustaining. That is I want the comic able to support itself without needing funds from my day job. It’s not quite jump to turning the comic into a full time job, but I like to see it as a stepping stone to that dream.
Along with the new “Help Out” section above, I’m going to start posting a monthly donation gift wall paper. If you could donate at least $1 (to cover paypal fees), you can get yourself a nifty wallpaper. But if you donate $20 or more (which I would not be against) during that month, you’ll get a signed print of the image! (Sent at the end of the month/beginning of the next)
The money goes towards paying hosting costs, ads, the donation gifts (which there might be more things in the future), and if I’m lucky, maybe help pay for me to hit a convention next year. But right now, stepping stones, I just want to see if I can get the comic to support itself.

YES! FINALLY! The new Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin album is coming out in August! Yeah, I’ve already pre-ordered it. (But I wouldn’t be opposed to getting a copy of it early so I can tell everyone how awesome it is. Huh huh? Phil? Will? John? Johnathan? Someone at Polyvinyl? I’m just saying…)

Also, while you’re listening to stuff, I have gotten more good music to share! Lennon Bone, the drummer of Ha Ha Tonka, has a couple side projects going on. One of them is called The Swayback Gents, a team-up with Clay Hughes, which just put out an EP. I’m really digging it (in fact it’s been the music I’ve been listening to, along with Sink/Let It Sway, as I’ve been drawing this week’s comics). You can download it for free right here, although they will gladly take tips.
I’m super stoked about knowing such awesome musicians and am always looking forward to what’s coming next from them.
Kind of. I missed it because it’s been during the hectic time of prepping to move, moving, and settling in. But back in April, The Webcomic Beacon mentioned the comic in a podcast! Well, sort of. They were changing the names of some of the comics they read by replacing one of the title words with “Vagina”. (It’s a very high class podcast!) So they ended up with “Ginger’s Vagina”. There was also a link to the site due to the mention, which I guess helps explain why a few new people have been reading. The link is posted as “Ginger’s Vagina” so, um, sorry to disappoint anyone who came here with different expectations.
