I’m curious about the folks who read Ginger’s Bread and some of you have seemed curious about me, so let’s talk! There’s already some chatter on occasion with my twitter. And I’m always glad to see comments under comics and news posts. But let’s build on that. Let’s talk, the Breadites and me.

We’ve already got the Facebook Fanpage, and while it’s the home of some comments, I thought we’d give the discussion board there a try. So please stop by and start chatting. Even just posting on the wall works too! Let me know who the Breadites are!

Getting to know about me aside from the twitter is about to get easier. I’m finally jumping onto the formspring.me party train. Ask me stuff! (Note: I’m not going to be answering spoilers) (Second note: To jump on top of this FAQ – Owed Pokémon battles are coming soon. Let’s set a day in January where I’ll just jump online and battle peoples, yes?)

Speaking of FAQs, another source of getting in my head is the tumblr I’ve started (and will link once the DNS stuff updates, so within the next couple days) AGENTS ARE GO! I mean tumblr is go!. Utilizing the duskapassadig.com domain for something a little more specific than just another link to the comic. If there are questions I get asked a lot on formspring.me or I find interesting enough, I may blog about them on tumblr instead. I’m also going to be making blog posts that don’t fit in the Ginger’s Bread blog and sometimes arts/writings/random crap too long for twitter. So if you’re curious about how I think, and some further insight into the character’s through me, that should be a good source!

And there’s still always e-mail and the comments section on the site! (I’ll be adding buttons to formspring.me and tumblr to the site once the tumblr domain is working properly.) Added!

UGH – Finale!

Just thought I’d do a quick follow up post as to my laptop’s fan status and the final updates for 2010:

Fan Status – Fixed! Well, replaced, which means the laptop is fixed! Yay! Thanks for the patience, and to those who donated, for the donations! They really helped!

Last Updates for 2010 and Break – Took the time without the computer as a chance to take a mental break. So now that I have the laptop back, I’ll be working getting ready for next year. There will be one more comic, this one on Monday, the 27th. Works as a good lead into next year and since I didn’t get all the updates I wanted to, makes me feel a little better about that. I was originally considering some filler art next week, but instead will focus on planning 2011 and a few tweaks to the site. I think on Monday I’ll finally post about some stuff I’ve been waiting on as well. They’ll be the “filler content” for the week, so to speak.

Anyway, Season’s Greetings (I got one for Winter from a friend, so it’s fresh!) and all that! Thanks for reading!

UGH! CONTINUED!

So a few days ago the fan in my laptop started sounding HORRIBLE. And it’s been getting worse. Today was spent backing up everything before trying to draw as that tends to heat up the CPU and trigger the fan. I mean, it was sounding pretty gnarly when I drew the last comic, but now I try to draw and I’m worried more than Photoshop crashing on me… I’ve looked into replacing the fan myself and it’s going to cost at least $40 I don’t really have at the moment just to get the part. Probably more with shipping and all that. As I don’t want to cause the source of the comics to melt down, I’ve got to hold off on drawing for a little bit. But I still want to end the year with comic #260 (that is the last 4 updates I said I’d do), so I may try to do a shit ton of updates before Christmas. But first, I’m going to get the laptop looked at, make sure I need a new fan before spending the money, and if the laptop’s out of commission for a few days, I may just half to start the end-of-year break earlier than I wanted. (I do intend of getting at least one more comic up this year though if nothing else.)

Why not take this week off to work on the laptop and update again next week? Because a bulk of the break is suppose to be getting the comic back on track and that requires a lot of work on the computer that will be in various states of cautiously not up to the task for a few days. That said, that which I can do without Photoshop or CPU intensive programs (to keep fan running as long as possible until fixed), like scripting/plot outlines/general planning stuff, I will.

We’ll have to play this week by ear. If I have to take the break early, I’ll post some kind of filler image to let people know. If you’d like to donate so I can try to keep the computer working, it’d be much appreciated, but don’t feel obligated. Once again, thanks for the patience!

Ugh… And stuff

So obviously, the past month has hardly been the greatest with updates or comic quality due to stress from some personal and financial stuff. I’ve already stated (or at the very least public debated) taking the last week of the year off to settle myself, regroup, plan, and start the New Year strong. That doesn’t do much in terms of helping me deal with now though. BUT I don’t want to take off more time (as much as I probably should). So here’s the plan:

I’m still planning on taking the last week of the year off and return Jan. 3. I am, however, reserving the right to extend this leave if it really comes done to it to include Christmas Eve and/or Jan. 3 (meaning an update on either end, effectively making it nearly a two week break). If I decide on that, I’ll post about it, but that’s not the current plan. I’m just putting it out there so there’s no surprise later.

As for the rest of this year’s updates, I’m going to post three comics a week. They just might not be M-W-F, so much like how things have been this past month. It’s not so much a solution as a formal announcement as to what’s up and a way to relieve at least part of the stress I’ve got going on lately.

I’m sitting on some stuff that I want to start up but first I want to get back on schedule. Expect these to pop up during the break (which will likely include some kind of sketch updates or something as well) so there will at least be content during the brief break. As always, Twitter is a good way to keep track of what’s up and I’m trying to make use of the Facebook page too.
