Ginger's Bread

So originally I was gonna do this kind of post back on the comic’s birthday on November 10th, but I was on the road then. I’d been trying to find time to get it done since, and with comic 250 being a nice round number and being still within the month of the birthday, I figured now’s a good time. And yet it’s poorly written because I’m still frantically trying to do too many things at once! That’s become my perpetual state so might as well jump in and write this up!

So yeah, 2 years (and now) 250 comics. A much better year than the first, suggesting great things in the future! Of course, I have to thank all the readers! So much to thank you for. Obviously, thank you for reading. Thank you posting in the comments, being a fan on Facebook and posting/liking there, following me on the Twitters (and retweeting updates!), creating and updating the TV Tropes page (well, it could use some work now), creating fanart/guest strips/cameos, spreading the word friends, and again, reading the comic! Thank you also for patience during these periods of rocky updates, you guys are much more patient with me during them than I am!

So looking back over the year, (about 130 comics!), I’m really happy to see see how much I’ve improved in my art. Oh, I’ve got a long way to go, but to see the growth in a year (and especially two!) makes me look forward to how much better I’ll be next year! The writing is a slower growth and has it’s moments of hit/miss but I like to think that’s improving too since I know the characters better all the time.

I have more plans for the coming year (while a con was one of them, that’s looking more and more unlikely for 2011) because I really have a lot of fun with the comic and love to watch it grow. Speaking of which, I need to get back to drawing comics. Again, thanks for reading! Here’s to more years and more comics to come!
