Location: The Internet. It will be hosted, unless there are problems (hahaha, when is that ever the case?) in a UStream chatroom with myself and maybe others moderating – To actively participate in the chat, you do need to join usteam. The channel is here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/csjostrand
What’s going on? A chance to battle Ginger and other Breadites as well as trade to fill those Pokédexes! Part of the moderation is to help keep battles and trades organized. As far as battling Ginger is concerned – These will usually be straight forward battles with no Pokémon bans, just a level 50 capping. So if your team is under level 50, regardless of what Ginger’s teams are at, you won’t have to worry about a larger gap. If you want to do a double/triple/rotation battle, we can do that instead, but the level 50 cap is remaining. Other battles will need to be agreed upon by those you’re battling. (As far as the lack of bans go, keep in mind that showing up with a team of EVed Legendaries and a devil-may-care attitude about having a more balanced battle probably won’t make you many friends.)

Put your Friend Codes in the comments below and add others’ to your games and we’ll see how well this experiment works out! Also a good idea: Maybe include some pokémon you’ll be looking for in trades so people can catch some ahead of time.

I’m specifically looking for Snivy and Oshawott (as I don’t have friends to trade with to get the other starters). I’d also just like to trade the various guys to trade to evolve (even if trade, then trade back) like Boldore, Gurdurr and the Karrablast/Shelemt evolutions. I’d also like Archen and Zorua. I’m pretty much willing to trade any non-legendary from Gen V (although it’d probably be a baby as I’ll probably just breed you a new one).

Battles and Trades over WiFi (in the Pokémon Center) are totally possible in Black/White right now. I’ve done both with J.T. of Between Failures. The GameSync stuff consists of other functions which would be cool too, but we’ll be without them this time.
Actually, I think March 30th (today as I type this) was the day that they were supposed to get that up and running. Unless they pushed the date back since the 6th when the game came out and I attempted to use the GameSync and then checked the website for info. >.>
GameSync is indefinitely delayed because of the earthquake in Japan.

i’d LOVE to do it but my wifi isn’t DS compatible and nintendo stopped making the dongle to fix it (causing the price to rise from 30 to 70 dollars on amazon) and i’m not shelling out 70 bucks just to play one game online

(I didn’t have time to transfer things over or hunt for anything myself, so my trade offering will be lacking… If nothing else though, I hope to do a couple trade-trade backs if need be)

If it’s anything like the time I tried, it’s not worth it. I did it with my Platinum and it was just filled with very rude and impatient people.
Also, I found a fun little trick if anyone just got this game and didn’t catch your Victini yet, but if you don’t catch him and battle it, he respawns.
He’s worth 3 HP EVs. Boy that’d make my day easier, instead I’m stuck stocking on parylz heals and hunting for Stunfisk in Icir…. CRAP IT’S WINTER! What do I do now? Audino grind?
