Yay! We’re back! Welcome to 2013 at Ginger’s Bread everyone! Be sure to tell everyone the comic is back because yay!
Dammit, we still don’t know what’s up with Ginger’s shirt. I promise the answer to that is in two comics time! Also, I really like how Panel 3 came out. That means in a week I’ll hate it. So yay that!
Some quick notes:
- Duskapassadig.com is still going to occasionally be posting more Ask Ginger stuff. I’ve just been busy working on strips and also the next note.
- Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! Fennekin! For those not in the know, the new Pokémon game (Pokémon X/Y) has been announced for October and the Fire Starter is an adorable fox! With Vulpix, Ninetales, and Zorua, Ginger can make a team of Foxes*! (* – Maybe an Eevee or an Eeveelution as well, they are kinda Fox-like as well.)
- Hockey hockey hockey hockey! NHL Hockey returns on Saturday!
I’m sure there are other notes that I’m not remembering, but we’re back so we can cover those whenever!
Thanks for reading!

Okay so, so far, it’s been
271, 4, 84, 1396, 32.7, 806, 5(as tally marks), 9^7, 17, XII
…I’m lost XD
There’s at least 10 more shirts in the upcoming comics before the reveal which will disappoint or confuse many but make perfect sense for some! So it’s like any other joke.
As a contribution to the record, 9^7 is 4,782,969.
Well, now the shirt’s just showing off. Exponents, Roman numerals… I’m watching you, shirt!
I notice no one is asking if Art even wants to go out at all. Damned social people, trying to make others have fun with them.
Welcome back yet again Carl.
I think I’m losing control of the shirt! I think it’s out of control! I’ll need to get back to the calculations and find out what went wrong!
I think Art is just kind of rolling with it at this point. He pretty obviously wants nothing to do with Hugh’s girlfriend but would be pretty okay just killing time with Ginger.
Thanks, I know it must get tiring welcoming me back all the time…
Well, the art is a little wonky in some ways, but in other ways, I think it’s improved.
Glad you’re back!
Personally, I think the art is always a little wonky, thus the constant hope of improvement.
Glad to be back!
I think the art is just wonky enough to be distinctive, and I love it. Also, panel 3 caught my attention, too.
HOCKEY SEASON IS BACK! RED WINGS TO WIN EVERYTHING! I’m so glad they finally got it published, I don’t know if I could have made it through the winter on OHL Saginaw Spirit Games.
OMGILOVEREDWINGSYOU’REMYNEWBESTFRIEND!
Whoot! Ginger’s Bread is back! I’ve been missing this comic.
As for Fennekin, heck yeah! About time we get a fire starter who isn’t part fighting (I hope), and its a fox! What’s not to like about the cute little thing?
Fox Fire Starter? I may have to actually buy this one…
Vulpix and Ninetales were always my favorites.
Is there a schedule for updates, Carl, or is it when you’re satisfied enough with the comic to post it? I’m not sure when to look for the next comic, or if I should simply keep checking back because Hope Springs Eternal. I read all the comics in early December and with the breaks, I can’t detect a pattern.
The schedule, ideally, is Monday/Thursday, at some point during that day US Eastern time. Usually Monday is hit and Thursday may slip into Friday (that’s more often when I’m working full time, which isn’t the case at the moment). Second update this week was a screw up on my part when I uploaded it wrong and bolted out the door. Regular readers will laugh at the idea over regular updates, but I seriously am trying to improve this. Easiest way to keep track is the RSS Feed and Twitter feeds. For me randomly saying shit, my twitter feed is @cjsjostrand and for just updates to the site, @GingersBread.
Thanks. I wasn’t being sarcastic — I actually confuse more easily than I used to, and I follow several comics, but I thought you’d said Monday and Thursday. So I was trying to track down my error, not trying to highlight yours. Minor brain damage makes it really easy to decide I’m the one making the mistake.
Btw, I’m a Denverie, so at least on a gloal scale, we’re neighbors. I know you live somewhere in the same state that I live in.
Sigh. Denverite.
Oh, don’t worry, I wasn’t saying you were being sarcastic. I understood as a new reader that my update schedule is a tad confusing since I don’t have the days posted. (Again, it’s because when I’m busier, I still try for two a week and feel that’s better two happen regardless of the day.) I was just highlighting my own updating problem before a wise cracker got in a crack that was wise.
I’m currently in Michigan but occasionally find my self elsewhere in the country for several months of the year for work. Last few years that’s been California (near Yosemite), but I’m never for certain where I’ll be headed for the year until I get work.
