Man, it took me forever to be happy with the last panel (constant redraws is what took the comic so long). And I’m still not 100% with how Romana turned out. Since she changed outfits more frequently than the Doctor tends to, I decided to just go with her outfit from Destiny of the Daleks, which works well in the chill Michigan weather. I really wanted to also draw K-9 for shits and giggles, but I felt it would influence the alt-text too much when I’m leaving it up to you.
The Fourth Doctor is my favorite, I think. Although to be fair, I haven’t watched enough of the other Doctors (aside from the new series) to form full opinions on them. I really want that scarf too. So if anyone would like to give me a gift…
Huh, Ginger’s not sleeping much and is going a bit crazy with trying to take care of a lot of things at the end of the year… This doesn’t seem to be familiar to me in any way. Nope. Now then, time to take care of 90 different things before I can fit in a quick 3 hour nap!
Thanks for reading!

I find your notion of “personal canon” to be both oxymoronic and compelling. I like it.
Keep up the good backformation.
Fandoms are full of personal canons. The range of which can be from the simple to the complex and depending on how good the personal canon idea is (and if it’s expressed), others might like it enough for it to become “fanon”. In some cases, you can get schisms in fandom based off “fanon” love or hate. Sometimes creators will shrug and say “Yeah, that can work” (TV Tropes refers to this as “Shrug of God”) or sometimes they’ll reference it in the work, making it official canon or just a shout out.
I’ve spent time watching various fandoms in some crazy anthropological mindset. I can’t turn it off!
I can turn it off for you! Though there might be some… collateral damage.
No, no, I need it on! There’s some neat stuff out there to overly think about!
Nice one! But note, that even if you’re spelling Tardis as an acronym, you don’t put in the dots: TARDIS. I know Americans still put the dots in most things, but it has almost died out here in the UK (U.K.?).
In fact I don’t think it was ever written with dots even back in the sixties, but I could be wrong.
You wouldn’t write B.B.C., would you?
Some acronyms still get used more than others. For whatever reason, possibly the multinational interest in the show, I’ve seen TARDIS both ways. It may be done on occasion so that some less familiar people know it is an acronym. I’ve removed the dots now though because I’d like to be be a little more accurate and it does free up a little bit of white space in the word text.
Woo! Cool.
David Tennant was the one that got me into Doctor Who. I’ve currently seen the first two seasons of him (minus the specials) as well as a couple from the fourth season of the new series.
In fact, I’m just about to watch Planet of the Ood! It’s… kind of a weird coincidence that I stopped by to check this just before I was going to watch.
Coincidence or some kind of weird time travel thing?!
Oh wow.
I was thinking of saying, “The only explanation is time travel.” I even had it typed out, but I deleted it.
Is this one of those big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey things?
I so badly would like this to happen to me one day. Great job drawing the most stylish Doctor
Why!? Whenever the Doctor shows up, it means Bad Things are about to happen. I know it’d be cool, but is that really worth it?
The Doctor takes fairly good care of his companions. I’d say worth it… if you get to become a companion. If you see him and then some Daleks show up with plungers at the ready, maybe not so great…
Fresh Gingerbread! Just in time for Christmas too!
Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun.
Why I oughta pun you! *shakes fist*
I don’t really know what that means, but it felt like the right response.
If he is the REAL Doctor then it’s almost real as seeing Derpy Hooves and Pinkie Pie together breaking the Fourth Wall!!!! If THAT happens then the Doctor is REAL!!!! :O
Wait, what?
Metaphor? Have you not heard it before? xP I use Derpy and Pinkie breaking the fourth wall as a image to the Doctor. So IF I see those two ponies breaking the fourth wall then the Doctor is real.
I figured that was the idea, for some reason the structure of the sentence wasn’t coming together in my brain. Brain no worky lately.
having a real life doctor would be cool but think about it with the doctor you also get all the crazy and scary as all hell things too.
If you get to see a bunch of the crazy cool and/or scary stuff before you die (in the off chance you’re a companion who doesn’t get to stick around) I think you get to die fairly happy, seeing so much others don’t.
Why do you use kuuga’s logo but call yourself kamen Rider G why not a cork screw instead?
What’s insane is that just as I saw this, one of my friends told me about the new mmo…ish…thing.
Huh, neat! I probably wasted a little more time than I should have on that today but I was curious!
I have a full size version of Baker’s scarf. My mom made it for me.
I am full of jealousy.
That’s not the Doctor. He doesn’t even have a Cutie Mark.
To be fair, you can’t see his ass.
PONIES WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME
Actually, it was Doctor Whooves that convinced me to finally give The Doctor a shot.
Kind of weird how many people have started watching a 50-year-old series because of a fandom declared link to a 1-year old series.
Is it any weirder than seeing a commercial for something and watching it? Commercials don’t really give much insight into the quality of writing.
OR starting to watch a show that seems like it would be for little girls because people can’t stop posting screencaps of that show with funny text? I mean, seriously. The MLP:FiM fandom is kind of built on weird reasons for watching a show.
I guess I should point out, however, that I did see Forest of the Dead (while half asleep) long before I got into MLP:FiM. Even though it intrigued me, though, I didn’t have much desire at the time to go through the many, many episodes of Doctor Who.
More accurate wording on my part would have been “Kind of funny how…”. Haha
Kind of funny how I typed up a rather long response to that, right?
In no way is it weird for me, though. XP
I tried to watch Doctor Who but I just couldn’t get into it. Neither as a kid with the old ones nor as an adult (Kinda), no matter which Doctor it is.
Maybe because I’m British it just doesn’t seem exotic?
You just gotta find someone who knows how to knit or crochet, Carl.
My mother’s been on a crocheting kick recently, and she asked me what sort of colors I’d like in a scarf a few weeks ago. I asked for blue and yellow rugby stripes, like Ness’s shirt in “EarthBound”. It’s been cold enough to actually need a scarf, I figured why not make it a subtle piece of fandom that I can wear around town?
It turned out great. She even got it done in time for Christmas, which was a big surprise. I’m hoping I can convince her to make a red and blue winter hat to complete the look. XD
My Favorite, Christopher Eccleston
Is that an Sweetie Belle reference I see?
“I really like your scarf!”
