Comic was suppose to go up on Monday, which was St. Lucia’s Day. Man, those buns are good. In panel 1, there’s a quick cameo by Imy based off some tweets where an enjoyment of saffron buns was revealed.
Additional content! Before I realized how crazy I’m going (seen in the blog titled “Ugh… and stuff” in the Blog section), I told Chris Paulsen over at Precocious I’d get him a guest strip to help with his finger healing. And I eventually managed it! So that’s available for you see right here! I didn’t look up those Dewey Decimal numbers… I knew them off the top of my head…

LOVE IT!!! Thank you for featuring Imy!! And now I feel like I have to run down to PressbyrÄn and pick up a few lussebullar
YUM!
Always a pleasure! And I’m sure the shop isn’t as delicious as homemade!
I’ve never had saffron buns before. I’ll try some when the next St. lucia day comes around. in fact, I didn’t even know they existed until you tweeted about making some.
The Swedish variation is slightly different from other versions if Wikipedia is to believed. Just keep that in mind.
Been hearing about these Saffron Buns for years.. I’ve really got to try some!!
Apparently, the guy who does the comic Two Lumps also did a comic on St. Lucia Day. Although he called it St. Lucy’s Day, but still. Looks like it gets more recognition than beyond you and Irma
I’ve never had saffron buns, I’m afraid.
It’s probably because there aren’t too many Swedes, or at least, not much of a Swedish/nothern European community in Nevada.
Lots of Basques, though. I’ve been meaning to take in some of that culture for a while now.
I love these comics because it’s my birthday, too
