The nice part of a talkative character? Easily provides exposition. The bad part? Fills the comic with text text text text. (Another nice part is the added bit of humor when he’s shut up.)
Yeah one does not need to fill a comic with words words words words words all the time, it just makes it boring and not funny.
If anything silence if comedy gold.
For some reason, when I read the landlord’s lines, I am hearing the voice of Hank Scorpio from that episode of The Simpsons where Homer’s new boss turns out to be a supervillian straight out of a Bond movie.
Haha! I had to look up that episode again, and wow, that voice could certainly do the job! Good speaking pace and friendly sounding voice. I will say that Daniel isn’t a Bond villain though.
