Credit where credit’s due: Check the Fanart section. The shirt is a mild variation (aka my attempt to make it) of the shirt J.T. drew her in. I liked it enough to give her the shirt for the storyline.
Actually, I think you ask the most questions of anyone (not a bad thing!) and so you ask a lot of first time questions.
When developing characters, I tried to develop a lot of bits of their personalities and likes (but not consistently, some characters have more “planning” in areas than others because details grew from other random details) and with Ginger, purple as a favorite color came about for a few reasons. One, it’s a good color and looks good on her. Two, it looks good with the fox on the shirt, and I really like that shirt* (Foxes are Ginger’s favorite animal). And three, well, color wise again, it looks good on her. The dark of the purple balances well, I think, with her being blonde. I didn’t really sit down and decide her favorite color would be purple, it kind of developed with the rest of her.
*I’ve recently realized that she has a short and long sleeved version of that shirt. Um yea, she had two shirts like that because she also really likes that shirt, not because I screwed up… That’s my story and I’m stuck with it.
I see you know your a really good artist and you stories are also very good you ever thought of doing another webcomic but that being said it must be hard even doing Ginger Bread 3 time a week I wonder how the daily people do it.
Thanks! For a while, I was doing Ginger’s Bread five times a week, but that’s when I had more time and less employment. As it is right now, I try to use my days off to rebuild the buffer, which unfortunately has been slow going lately. I have thought about doing more comics, but at the moment, I want to focus on just Ginger’s Bread until such time as I have the luxury of being able to draw as much as I want everyday (if I ever get that luxury).
Hey Carl, I started reading because you posted on Fancy Adventures, and I’m glad you did. So after getting current, I’m sure you’re happy to hear that you have gained (one) fan!
This One really Bummed me Out, I’m a lot like Ginger when it comes to things like this, but its part of where I learned to always Expect the Worst, Most DEE-Di-DEE, and Blandest of all Things, but still secretly hope for the Best and most awesome.
maybe it was about the book bag and how if you don’t look carefully it looks like a part of her hair
Maybe. I’m wondering why I made it yellow. Oh, right.
ah ok now I get it
I dont know why but I love Gingers shirt.

*Also I think I caught a Grammatical Mistake: “Meeting for your dream” I think you meant “Meeting from your dream,” but I’ve been wrong before.
