It’s Yiddish. Obviously, Ryan’s mom is Jewish, or at least from certain parts of New York. “Goy” means any non-Jewish person, and “schmedrik” (actually “shmendrik” or “schmendrik”) is a stupid or inept person – a nincompoop.
