Blergh, sorry for the evening update and (a little) shaky art. It’s been a very long week.
Joséphine seems to think she can pass off tasks at will to Kelly just because she’s now officially a vet (although only recently) and Kelly is just a technician (like a vet nurse) despite Kelly’s longer tenure there. Although, she probably just likes giving Kelly a hard time.
I think once I get a chance to sleep again, I’ll be making some better commentary posts here… zzzz….
Have you missed Joséphine? I’ve forgotten how much of a fun antagonist she is for Kelly.
Whoop, I don’t remember having anything extra to say here today.
These restaurants do exist. I honestly haven’t been in one because if they are as advertised, I’d be thrown out within moments. These places actually call French Fries “Freedom Fries” still. This concept alone is enough to warrant me going and causing trouble. (Have some fun: Order the fries and loudly exclaim, “My! These FRENCH Fries sure are greasy! Luckily I have these copies of the Constitution and Bible Verses to wipe my hands on!” Disclaimer: I’m not responsible if a drunken idiot shoots you.)
Oh, son of a bitch, I’ve been forgetting to mention this: Ginger’s shirt throughout this arc has been based off the shirt designed by JT (of Between Failures) in the piece of Fanart he sent me. Credit where credit’s due.
This one looks much better than Friday’s… too bad it’s covered in exposition. I’m just trying to wrap up this bit of the story to move into the next bit.
Ryan’s motives for the pay, for those wondering, is that he’s been making due fine working as an office clerk for his dad’s businesses part time, supplemented by his occasional writing or acting gig. He’s planning on continuing them while helping Ginger run the back end of the store. So while the left overs from a pay boost might not help the cost of this loan much, he’s doing what he can to try and get Ginger out from owing anything to someone he distrusts.
Ugh… sorry about the late and unimpressive update. Spending this weekend to make next week’s better…
Yeah, yeah, more vagueness of the plan. But to be fair, right now, they don’t even have a full plan through. They took 45 minutes and adjusted what Ginger had for a start and first 6 months. Don’t worry, for those curious, we’ll get some of the details soon.
While I keep cutting out any descriptions of this plan, I do honestly know what it is! It’s just much too complicated for 4 panels and, let’s face it, various details as to the setting up, starting, and running a business aren’t going to interest a lot of people.
I had some comments to make but I forgot what they were.
I’m calling it: Bad art week.
I’m glad to see Ginger was doodling on the business proposal. I know that always helps sell it.
Updated midnight Central time tonight because I’ve been working too much to rebuild my buffer. You can see the art quality deteriorate with each panel as I grow more and more tired. Sorry about that. Totally using my days off to rebuild my buffer so this won’t happen again.
